Project

West DZ Export is a trade company based in Oran, Algeria, operating at the intersection of local sourcing and international demand. Working with buyers across global markets, they handle the full supply chain from sourcing authentic Algerian products to coordinating delivery by sea, land, or air. They do not simply move goods — they give the world a direct line into Algeria.

Challenge

The export and trade sector tends to communicate through flags, globes, and cargo imagery — visual shorthand that says nothing about origin or character. West DZ Export needed something different: an identity that declared its Algerian roots with confidence and could hold its own in front of international buyers. The brand had to project the professionalism global markets expect, while remaining unmistakably tied to Oran and Algeria. Above all, it needed to reflect how the company sees itself — not as a middleman, but as a trader: deliberate, connected, and moving in all directions.

Solution

Our approach drew from the geography West DZ Export knows best. The logo builds outward from a single circle representing the western coast of Algeria, which flows into waves tracing the country's silhouette along the horizon. Three arrows cut through the landmass, each representing a transport axis: maritime, land, and air. The Algerian Current gradient runs the full length of the map, a visual rendering of Algeria reaching outward. Osea's process began with a study of West DZ Export's commercial positioning and the visual conventions of the global trade sector, developing the logo through multiple geometry-led directions pressure-tested across documents, digital surfaces, and physical collaterals.

Logo Design

The mark begins with a circle — a reference to the western corner of Algeria — that dissolves at its base into a wave. Together they form the country's silhouette: a shape that roots the brand in territory without resorting to a literal flag or outline. Through that form, three diagonal stripes read as arrows, each corresponding to a transport axis: sea, road, and air. The Algerian Current gradient flows across the entire silhouette from Spring Green to deep blue, while the stripes carry the solid green. Saira sets the wordmark with the same structural weight as the icon, completing a mark built to operate at every scale.

Color Palette

The palette draws from Algeria's coastline and night skies. Prussian Blue anchors the system as the primary background, carrying authority without heaviness. Spring Green is the brand's pulse — vivid and directional, used across the logo and accent elements. Emerald handles the same role on light surfaces, ensuring readability without sacrificing character. Onyx replaces black as the neutral, holding everything together with subtle warmth. The Algerian Current gradient, flowing from Spring Green (#55F582) to electric blue (#1837E0), serves as the hero treatment across key brand surfaces.

Typography

Saira leads the typographic system with the same structural confidence as the logo mark. Its role is deliberate and bounded: headlines, the wordmark, and moments where the brand must assert itself. Plus Jakarta Sans handles everything else — body copy, data fields, subheadings, and digital interfaces. It brings clarity to extended reading without competing with Saira's character. Together they form a pairing where authority and accessibility occupy separate registers, each doing exactly its job without crossing into the other's territory.

Social Media Profiles

A cohesive social media system translates the brand's identity into a credible, international-facing presence. The Instagram profile leads with a Prussian Blue grid anchored by a consistent highlight cover system built on the Algerian Current gradient. The X and LinkedIn profiles carry the same visual logic: a branded cover featuring the Algerian map mark at full scale, set against the Prussian Blue field with Spring Green type. Each platform setup signals a trade operator that takes its public presence as seriously as its commercial operations.

Brand Collaterals

Strategic touchpoints extend the identity from screen to every surface a client will handle. The website serves as the primary commercial interface, translating the full visual system into a trade-facing experience built for international buyers. Business cards carry the Prussian Blue field with the gradient mark centered, contact details set in Plus Jakarta Sans, and Spring Green as the accent on the key contact line. Additional collaterals complete the physical identity system across the full range of commercial interactions.
